From the publishers of 'Chasing Maya'

"For over four decades, having published immortal works of renowned and highly respected authors in the league of Dr. Shankar Dayal Sharma (former President of India), Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee (former Prime Minister of India), Ms. Amrita Pritam and Mr. Khushwant Singh, we were on the lookout for bright and young writers to further extend our heritage of excellence to the English publishing industry. In this endeavour of ours, Mr. Rohan Gogoi has been one of our prized discoveries and the Global Vision Press team is really excited about working with this exceptionally talented story-teller. Mr. Gogoi’s novel, ‘Chasing Maya’ is a beautifully crafted piece of literature. Though deeply philosophical in its essence, the narration is simple, lucid and intriguing. Mr. Gogoi has this tremendous ability of interweaving profound thoughts with free-flowing fiction. His style is cosmopolitan; has a universal appeal and holds the promise of reaching out to audiences beyond the boundaries of nationality, ethnicity and culture."

  1. I have had the privilege of having many a discussions with Rohan, around his debut novel - Chasing Maya,
And I couldn’t agree more with what the publisher has said about the book and more so the author!

I believe the very fact, that a publisher who has till date only published works of literary greats like the ones mentioned above,
has shown confidence in a first time author speaks volumes about the excellent piece of work that Rohan has put together in the form of this book.

I am keenly awaiting the release of Chasing Maya!

  2. "Each one of us", its said,"has a book in us". n it usually comes out best in a author's first work , though not necessarily, in his 1st published work.In most ways its his most honest work, most genuine work... Thereafter its just a profession. when a author becomes established he starts second guessing about what people "want" to read or would "like" to read. N in dat aspect I find professional writers irritating coz instead of just saying what dey want 2 say n getting on, dey want to write what dey thnk i would like. Gone is da genuinity... I have learnt dis over a long time and lots n lots of volume, but , yes, debut authors should not be passed over. if there is a chance dat a author is gonna bring new perspectives to a reader's thought process, its dem.... The Debut writers.. All da best Ron....

  3. few years back, I called up and stopped Rohan while he was driving one evening and asked him to listen to one special writing. He parked his car and did listen to that. despite our hectic life and busy schedules we have stopped many times in life just to listen to each other. I am not surprised with his novel, bcoz we knew it, the way he knew it.I am happy with the recognition and bit emotional. best wishes rohan, you have more stories to tell this world...remain an idiot, like me and like razz
